Democratic Candidate for
NY Senate 1
Meet Farzeen
Farzeen is a first-generation American from the East End who understands the challenges Long Island families face. Born at Stony Brook Hospital to Pakistani immigrants, he was raised by a single mother who worked tirelessly to support their family. Dedicated to his community since high school, Farzeen has supported domestic abuse survivors, aided families in crisis, and volunteered with local nonprofits to assist those in need.
He previously chaired the Brookhaven Town Young Democrats and served on the Suffolk County Executive Committee. In 2022, he received the President’s Volunteer Service Award from President Biden for his work with the Domestic Harmony Foundation. A 2025 Stony Brook University graduate in Political Science, Farzeen now works as a paralegal, representing plaintiffs in medical malpractice claims. He is committed to solving complex issues for his clients and is ready to do the same for District 1.
I grew up watching families work two jobs just to keep a foothold on Long Island. This district doesn't want politics as usual. It wants leadership that puts everyday people first.
New York State’s Senate District 1 is built by people who work tirelessly for a living. From teachers, nurses, and first responders to farm workers, fishermen, service workers, union members, small business owners, and tradespeople, this district runs on hard work and community pride. Stretching from Northern Brookhaven through Riverhead and across the North and South Fork, Senate District 1 deserves to be prioritized and have leaders who show up.
